An anaesthetic is used to numb the inside of your nose. Under the visualisation of scope, the ClariFix® device is placed in the back of the nose and cold therapy is applied.

You may experience slight pressure, a cooling sensation in the nose and/or around the molars, or some discomfort during and/or after the treatment but this should not be painful.
You may experience:
Transient pain or discomfort, typically in the form of ice-cream headache which resolves in 24 hour.
Temporarily increased congestion that may last between five to seven days.
ClariFix® targets the root cause through cryotherapy (cold temperature), the contact of the cryoprobe with the tissue disrupts the nerve signals that causes symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose or sneezing.
